I'm Vera Scheve
A designer of reflective interactions at the department of Industrial Design at the TU/e & ready to apply the power of shared, tangible and visual sense-making in designing through translation to make the intangible tangible by externalising thinking and facilitating informed decision-making.

Career Chef
Final master project
A cross-institutional study choice support service that helps students explore their fit with study environment through experiential, situated reflection prompts and hybrid interactions. This ultimately contributes to an anticipatory sense of belonging, a key factor in career decision-making.

Physicalisation of professional development
PIVOT
M1.2 PROJECT
Vision-driven learning is key to enhance intrinsic motivation, yet many students struggle to articulate an authentic vision. PIVOT explored how self-reflective interaction with a metaphor-driven physicalization of professional identity and vision (PI&V) influences ability to clarify and express PI&V for goal-setting.
Eureka
Preparation final master project
A modular service intervention in science museum pathways, aiming to turn a one-off museum visit into a narrative journey for sparking science identity reflection , even beyond the museum visit, through gamification and personalization.

TDOOS
M1.1 Project
People with dementia and their caregivers often struggle to find suitable assistive technologies due to stigma, limited guidance, and pressure to buy quickly. TDOOS offers a playful, collaborative way to explore options through guided conversations and free trials, empowering informed choices and supporting autonomy.

My design
Vision

I reintroduce embodied, tangible engagement into complex decision-making by designing visual, interactive tools that externalise thought and make abstract information spatially and collaboratively accessible. I position decision-making as an exploratory, playful process rather than a purely rational optimisation task, extending design thinking into an intuitive mindset for non-designers. Ultimately, I challenge efficiency-driven design paradigms by developing tools that support reflective understanding of complexity in both individual and multi-stakeholder contexts.
